This box has the best features of a "Z" box and a boot box all in one. The male sits on his own little platform and will feed the hen through the interior entrance hole. She usually stays in the box for most of the incubation period. This is our best selling box and about the only style that we use ourselves. The photo below is an interior view with the back side of the nest box removed. The interior entrance hole is not visible in the photo, but it is next to the interior ladder.

Large - LEFT mount

The inspection door is on the LEFT side of the nest box as you look at the photo.  The large apartment nest box has interior dimensions that are 20.5" tall, 16" side to side, and 9.5" front to back.  Entrance hole is 4.25".

Choose either 3/4" or 1/2" wood.

Any parrot using this box probably needs nest blocks!
